Line Artwork can stand alone or be the first stage of the process towards a finished colour illustration (as seen in The Owl and The Pussycat illustration here).
Working with line is a lovely fluid process which I enjoy very much. Changing the weight of the line can create a great sense of movement and even three-dimensionality. While various mark-making styles, such as cross-hatching, can add texture and tone.
After the final sketch stage I will create the lineart using black ink and a traditional nib pen or brush.
